Village Assistants and to strengthen and re-organise the Village Level
Functionaries keeping in view the needs of Village Administration. Accordingly,
the Andhra Pradesh Re-organisation of Village Functionaries Ordinance, 1990,
was promulgated on 5-11-1990 and the posts of Village Assistants stand
abolished with effect from the said date. 2. Consequent on the abolition of the posts
of Village Assistants, the Government hereby accord sanction for creation of
20,000 posts, initially only 15,500 posts shall be filled up, of which 15057
