Table of Contents(toc) SECTION-I: PRELIMINARY AND GENERAL 1. Short title: These rules may be called the Andhra Pradesh Leave Rules, 1933. 2. Application: They shall apply to the holders of all posts under the rule making control of the State Government, whether for the time being in foreign service or not: (a), (b), (c), Explanations, Exception and Rulings – May be deleted. 2-A. Omitted 3. Commencement: These rules shall come into force on the 4 th September, 1933. 4. Definitions: In these rules unless there is anything repugnant in the subject or context: - (a) "duty" does not include any period of absence on any leave admissible under these rules or under the Fundamental Rules read with Rule 5 of these rules but includes: - (i) any period of absence on casual leave during a continuous period spent on duty (ii) any period of absence on gazetted holidays or other days declared to be holidays by a competent authority, during a continuous period spent on duty; (iii) any period of absence on g…
