Table of Contents CHAPTER I: Preliminary 1. Short title extent and commencement:- (1) This Act may be called the Andhra Pradesh Excise Act, 1968. (2) It extends to the whole of the State of Andhra Pradesh. Provided that on and from the date of commencement of the Andhra Pradesh Prohibition Ordinance, 1994, the provisions of this Act shall, in so far as they are inconsistent with the provisions of the said ordinance cease to operate (3) It shall come into force on such date as the Government may by notification, appoint 2.
